The Battle at the Beach Invite produced some of the top marks in the nation, with the USC Trojans dominating and proving they’re legitimate contenders to win the national team title on both the men’s and women’s sides come June at the NCAA Championships.

USC’s sprint squad runs deep--so deep that their “B” team took the win in the 4x100m relay, beating out the rest of the field even though their A team didn’t finish and Oregon was disqualified. On the men’s side, LSU claimed the 4x100m win.

Nonah Waldron took the victory in the women’s 100m hurdles and moved up to #5 in the nation. Prosper Ekporere secured a top-10 national mark by winning the men’s 110m hurdles in 13.61 seconds.

Yougendy Mauricette improved his national ranking in the 400m hurdles, now sitting at 3rd in the country. In the women’s 100m, USC absolutely dominated--sweeping 1st through 5th. Samirah Moody won it with an 11.03, just 0.01 seconds off her personal best.

LSU women went 1–2 in the 200m, improving both their national rankings and personal bests. Tima Godbless and Ella Onojuvwevwo are now ranked 2nd and 7th in the nation, respectively.

In the field events, Kameron Franklin--currently ranked 9th nationally--won the men’s high jump. Ashley Erasmus, who sits at 7th in the country, took the win in the women’s shot put.
